Little Earth Charter reaching out to children around the world

São Monteiro, colleagues and students at Escola Básica nº2, Cacia, Portugal model their Little Earth Charter T-shirts!

The Little Earth Charter DVD got a glowing review in the US magazine Video Librarian. Written by staff, librarians, teachers, and film critics, this review magazine is for public, school, academic, and special libraries as well as video fans. After outlining the importance of the Earth Charter, the review praises the LEC for being “relevant” and making the concepts accessible to children without oversimplifying. Read the full review when you join the Little Earth Charter Facebook group

Based in Portugal, São Monteiro, an educator for 39 years, continues to co-ordinate the "Working Together" Project, which uses LEC principles to teach school children around the world. This fun, collaborative project with a green initiative has captured the imaginations of schoolchildren from Portugal, Belgium, Japan, Russia, Argentina and Scotland. Recently Escola Básica nº2 from Cacia, Aveiro, Portugal, posted pictures, videos and reports on the Working Together website showing their most recent work. Later this month St. Collumbkilles Primary School, Glasgow, Scotland will showcase their projects. See all the delightful, colourful, creative and uplifting Little Earth Charter projects at the Working Together website.

Little Earth Charter is coming to Sweden! Our Canadian distributor, CinéFête has licensed the Swedish language version for educational distribution through Kunskapsmedia, one of the leading distributors of films to the educational market in Sweden. Release of the Swedish version is expected in late spring 2010, bringing the animation and the principles of the Little Earth Charter to school children there. The project has been featured on Ciné Fête’s home page all this week as a reminder for everyone to celebrate Earth Hour.  (LEC is on the front page for Earth Hour)

Hello ~ Delighted to find this link from WiserEarth. I am a concerned grandmother. Would like advice on how to introduce my grandaughter's primary school to your resource.
Regards
