President  Felipe Calderón Hinojosa inaugurated the Jaguaroundi Ecological Park as part of the activities in Veracruz, Mexico, in commemoration of Mother Earth’s Day and mentioned the Earthy Charter in his speech.

Also, the Municipality of Veracruz, as well as some schools and businesses, among others celebrated this special day at a Community Center, endorsed the Earth Charter and committed to use it in their specific fields.
