Do you have a project idea that lacks expert support and funding?
Would you like to put the Earth Charter into action?
Are you ready to promote your initiative among your own and other networks?
We are happy to announce a great opportunity for the Earth Charter international community to put their ideas into action - the Earth Charter Action Project Platform!
In this Platform all the Earth Charter activists are provided with the opportunity to
- host their project proposals online,
- discuss and promote them, and
- raise funds to make them happen.
What is 1%CLUB?
1%CLUB is the marketplace that connects smart development projects with people, money and knowledge around the world. See also this document.
What are the conditions for a 1%CLUB project?
- The project needs to focus on a group of people and needs to help them to improve their living conditions on a long term basis.
- The project has to be located in a developing country that is listed on the DAC list and should be organized by or affiliated with a registered organization. (To see the countries that are in the DAC list, please see this document).
- The project should address the principles of the Earth Charter, give an impulse to sustainable development and contribute to the realisation of the Millennium Development Goals.
- The project should be a unique enterprise, limited in time and means, and should be evaluated on completion.
- The project funding request should be small and concrete and your first funding request should not exceed € 5.000.
- You should keep 1% Members and the Earth Charter community informed about the progress of the project via the 1%CLUB website on a monthly basis.

Yes, there is a specific format! Please follow the instructions on the 1% Club's website, they are very clear.

There are really a lot of project we've been wanting to push in our area.
