The mission of the Earth Charter Initiative is to promote the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace.

Report of EC+10 celebration in The Netherlands



Over 200 people participated at the celebration of the Earth Charter’s 10th anniversary at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands on 29 June 2010.  We were honored to count with the presence of HRH Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, and Jan Peter Balkenende, Prime Minister of The Netherlands. 

For all those who were able to attend the event,  those who followed it online or who are interested in what was presented and discussed, we invite you to read the following summary report.
