ECI Program on Religion and Sustainability Receives Grant
Thanks to a generous grant from the Kendeda Sustainability Fund, the Earth Charter Program on Religion and Sustainability will soon be moving into implementation. Over the course of the next year, ECI will work with partners like Stockholm Environment Institute to develop new education and training materials for religious audiences. The program will help to bridge between the world of research and policy, and the world of religious engagement with the great challenges of our time, using the Earth Charter as a common platform. The program will help religious people grapple with issues like climate change, ecosystem preservation, and the links between poverty, human rights, and environment, in practical as well as ethical terms.
Please watch this site for news and updates as we get this program moving. We would like to again thank the many people and organizations whose contributions of time, wisdom, and financing allowed us to develop this new program, which is designed to reach out to all religions.
