Background
The Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child (CAPEC) is a non- governmental organization with Reg. No: G39/014/5/252 working in Cameroon. Since its inception in 2002, the organization has been working with children/youths, parents, Government bodies and intergovernmental bodies in the promotion of community’s welfare. It works to identify the need of the child especially the rural child/youths, the underprivileged and the weaker section of the society through participatory approach

Mission
- To link youth association in Cameroon to ECYG’s mission
- To expand awareness of sustainable development and the Earth Charter among Cameroonian young people
- To develop a platform for youths of Cameroon to share and benefit in ECYG’s objectives
- To seek engaged endorsements of the Earth Charter, especially by forging local, national, and global alliances of young people
Activities and Interests
- Peer-to Peer Education
- Identify and bring on board all youths organization in Cameroon
- Dissemination of information about ECYG’s activities
- Organize annual workshop on ECYG Cameroon
- Contribute reports of ECYG Cameroon to the international office
