Plan Netherlands, part of Plan International, provides generous financial support to Earth Charter International, specifically for its Youth Initiative (ECYI). Funds were first granted in mid-2006 and are have been committed through mid-2008. This support had allowed for the hiring of the ECYI's first fulltime International Youth Coordinator and has led to significant expansions in youth programming. In turn, children and youth all around the world have benefitted from the sustainable development and peacebuilding work of the ECYI.

* promoting the rights and interests of the world's children."
