ECYI Review
I am very pleased and excited to launch the formation of the ECYI's "Youth Leadership Team!" In close consultation with the current Core Group and ECI staff, we have written detailed Youth Leadership Team Guidelines, which we share with you, the ECYI, for review. Overview of Youth Leadership Team
The Youth Leadership Team (YLT) is intended to be a revitalized, empowered, and democratic version of the Core Group. It will consist of 10-12 Representatives - elected by ECYI Members from their respective regions - entrusted with guiding the ECYI and strengthening its regional networks. The International Youth Coordinator (IYC) and YLT will work collaboratively in promoting the ECYI and the Earth Charter. The Team – as a whole - will receive a budget of 2,500 USD per year from Earth Charter International (ECI) for regional activities. Furthermore, YLT Representatives will be partially or fully supported in attending one international YLT meeting during their 2-year term. They are also encouraged to represent the Earth Charter at relevant regional events and speaking engagements.

29 Aug - 12 Sept → Registration of Voters (Membership Renewal)
30 Aug - 12 Sept → Call for Regional YLT Candidates
17 Sept - 23 Sept → "Town Hall Meeting" on ECYI Blog
17 Sept - 23 Sept → Voting via E-mail
26 Sept → Introduction of new YLT
